Why did you want to lose weight?
My main motivation for losing weight was not wanting to hide anymore. I wanted to finally wear clothes I actually liked without feeling uncomfortable or embarrassed. My stomach was a big problem area for me; it just kept getting bigger and wider.
"Anyone can do it."
It was a big burden for me and kept making me feel worse and worse. I just wanted to look good again, eat healthy and feel good in my body!
What did you want to accomplish on your journey?
With a great deal of will power and perseverance, I actually did manage to lose the weight. However, my goal was to still drop 3 to 4 more pounds to highlight my trained stomach muscles and to tone my body in general.
How did you reach your goals?
I probably wouldn't have reached my goal without YAZIO because it's what helped me actually learn what it means to have an awareness for calories and portion sizes. This helped me to see what was good for my body.
Stefanie’s Tips
At the beginning, I did a lot of cardio to drop the weight. Now, I'm focusing on strength training to tighten my skin.
How did YAZIO help you?
It was only with support from YAZIO that I started to properly track my food and found a good balance in my daily routine. The app is really practical. I've never forgotten to track something and have always stayed organized. I've also learnt that healthy food can be prepared easily and that it can taste good at the same time!
Did you have setbacks?
I actually didn't have any setbacks. I wasn't able to go to the gym because of Corona, but I only gained around 3 to 4 pounds during that time. Otherwise, everything went pretty smoothly. The reason for this was that I had my diet 100 percent under control and didn't have any times when I went overboard with eating.
What advice do you have for other users?
My advice for users is that anyone with the right mindset and willingness can do it! At some point, tracking calories becomes second nature. Over time, you'll get more and more of an overview and feeling for which foods are good and how much you can eat.
What are your future goals?
My goal is to continue training to tone my body even more. I would also like to lose some more body fat, which is why I'll continue to track my calories with YAZIO.
Why do you want to tell your story?
I want to show everyone that they can do it, just like I did! YAZIO will continue to be my constant companion. What I want other people to know, those that are in a similar situation as I was: Please don't buy diet products. You can do it without them!
It's important to drink plenty of liquids and track your foods honestly and in an organized manner. I've learned how to cook with less fat and fewer calories. I also pay close attention to the calorie amounts on packaging and compare products accordingly. These days, protein is a large part of my diet because it keeps me feeling full and is good for my muscles. I always drank fruit tea in the evenings to curb cravings and, finally, I substituted normal sugar with xylitol, erythritol or "flavored powder".
